The SLYO Northern California chapter was founded in April 2013. Their focus is to build a platform for youth involvement and leadership in a diverse yet unified Sri Lankan-American community. Their successful projects include, the Sri Lankan Awrudu celebration, Vesak Lantern making workshop and Picnic at the Presidio, where they collected backpacks and school supplies for the library that SLYO recently built in a remote town in Sri Lanka.
