Operation Rise Above (ORA) is SLYO’s biggest annual event. This year ORA V was organized in the greater Washington D.C area of Rockville, MD. The event was held on the 27th of August at Parkland Middle School. We distributed backpacks containing school supplies such as binders,notebooks, etc to underprivileged children, ranging from elementary to high school students from the Linkages to Learning program in Montgomery County. We are incredibly grateful to our individual sponsors and corporate sponsors such as Staples, Costco, Giant, and Five Below for giving us donations this year. We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all our hardworking volunteers from SLYO and our community who helped us make this event successful. We truly look forward to our next SLYO event, and hope that you will continue to support and join us as we make impactful changes to our community.
