Thank you to everyone who has participated so far in our SLYO Feed the Homeless challenge! This year we had to take a slightly different approach to our annual SLYO UK Homeless Drive due to Covid-19. This has been an event that we all hold dearly to our hearts as it has happened since the beginning of SLYO UK.To continue this tradition, we thought that the next best thing would be to make a challenge out of it and have people post photos of their donations! Even though we couldn’t be together this time, having photos made it seem as though we were all still part of a group, taking part in this special project.
Winter is one of the hardest times for food banks and homeless shelters. It has been estimated that 846,000 parcels will be needed at food banks this winter, a 61% increase from last year according to the Trussel Trust. So please keep donating to your local food banks and your local supermarkets if you are able to!
